Lifetime has announced they are developing a miniseries based on iconic film actress Marilyn Monroe.
According to Variety, the working title for the series is ‘Marilyn’ and currently has Laurie Collyer attached to direct if its picked up.
The series will be based on J Randy Taraborrelli’s New York Times bestselling novel The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe which was released in 2009.
The book follows Monroe’s relationships with her mother and legal guardians and chronicles her mental illness.
Marilyn Monroe stared over 30 movies including hits like ‘Some Like It Hot’, ‘How to Marry a Millionaire’ and ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ before she passed on August 5, 1962.
