Letitia Wright’s star continues to rise. Wright was announced as the highest earning actor at the box office in 2018 and after the year she had it should come as no surprise.
Wright started off the year with small roles in The Commuter and Ready Player One. The actress hit the mainstream with her role as Shuri in the landmark Marvel movie, Black Panther. She then reprised that role in the massively successful crossover Avengers: Infinity War and her status as a global star was cemented.
Wright earned an estimated $1.55 billion in 2018, easily beating out her Black Panther and Avengers co-stars. Chadwick Boseman, Winston Duke, Danai Guris, Florence Kasumba, and Sebastian Stan ended the year with $1.38 billion earned.
Beyond that, Samuel L. Jackson earned $1.29 billion while Chris Pratt made an estimated $1.1 billion. Coming in at fifth is Josh Brolin with $1 billion earned at the box office last year.
