Running back Leonard Fournette has a new home following being waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars. ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Fournette will sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fournette has since confirmed his signing with a post via his Twitter account.
It’s an agreement in principle on a one-year deal between Leonard Fournette and the Buccaneers, per source. https://t.co/c8zfr1VFFv

The fourth-overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Louisiana State University, Fournette has amassed 17 rushing touchdowns in his time with the Jaguars and is the latest high-profile departure from Jacksonville following DE Yannick Ngakoue going to the Minnesota Vikings and the trade of A. J. Bouye to the Denver Broncos. Jacksonville also notably traded away its cornerstone defensive piece in CB Jalen Ramsey last season.
For the Buccaneers, adding Fournette is the latest addition to their massively overhauled offense. Tampa Bay has already added a pair of future Hall of Famers in legendary quarterback Tom Brady as well as his ex-New England Patriots teammate, tight end Rob Gronkowski.
