Superstar forward LeBron James is reportedly making his return to Cleveland in a contest against the Cavaliers on November 21, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN:
LeBron James will make his return to Cleveland to play the Cavs for the first time as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 21, league sources tell ESPN.

After a four-season second stint in Cleveland, LeBron James agreed to sign a four-year, $154 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 1, leaving the franchise with little to build around outside of All-Star forward Kevin Love and the recently drafted Collin Sexton, as it seemed to be implied that the team would vouch for a rebuild.
However, Cleveland has since given Kevin Love a massive four-year, $120 million extension, effectively showing that the team still plans to compete for a playoff spot in James’ absence for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
The date of James’ return to Cleveland will obviously be highly anticipated, as he has spent 11 of his 15 years of his legendary career in the city, including leading the Cavs to their first championship over the Golden State Warriors in 2016.
After James announced that he was joining the Miami Heat in the 2010 offseason, Cleveland fans were not shy about expressing their hatred towards their former face of the franchise. This time around, however, the animosity won’t be nearly as high when James returns in a different jersey, as it will more than likely be an emotional homecoming for both James and fans alike.
