LeBron James is shutting down any talk of a potential early departure before anyone even thinks about creating a rumor. While there are rumblings about him leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2018, that’s still a year away. And right now LeBron is looking to stick with the Cavs, even if Kyrie Irving isn’t around.
With the new trade request from Kyrie Irving rocking the NBA world on multiple levels, many began to question his motives. One possible centered around the future of LeBron James and if he is indeed leaving. Many viewed Kyrie’s request as a preemptive strike against being left without James.
Despite Irving’s request, you won’t be seeing any sort of similar demands out of LeBron James. ‘The King’ will play out this season with Cleveland but beyond that, not much is promised. LeBron will not waive his no-trade clause this season no matter what the situation is.
Following from Chris B. Haynes of ESPN.
