Head Coach Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks have landed the commitment of 2023 top ten recruit and top three power forward Kwame Evans Jr. The Ducks are no strangers to five-star talent and this time they add a legitimate “one and done” talent to the program. The expectation is he will declare for the 2024 NBA Draft after his sole season with the Ducks. He committed to the Oregon Ducks over the Auburn Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats, Arizona Wildcats, and UCF Knights. Evans Jr is listed as the second highest-ranked recruit to commit to the Ducks behind NBA big man Bol Bol.

The Oregon Ducks have built up a solid program under Head Coach Dana Altman. They have proven they can win games and get their guys to the NBA. Landing a top-rated recruit like Kwame Evans Jr could help continue to help put the program near the top of the NCAA. While they aren’t quite NCAA Championship contenders at the moment, winning the PAC-12 in 2023 is not out of the question with the right players around Evans Jr.
Since UCLA and USC left the Pac-12, Oregon has landed its highest-rated QB commit and the No. 2 overall player in the 2023 FB class Dante Moore and the No. 2 player ever for basketball, and the No. 7 overall player in the 2023 BB class Kwame Evans Jr. Oregon’s doing just fine.

The Oregon Ducks are one of the few NCAA schools that compete near the top in both football and basketball. Dana Altman gets the best out of his players and with the talent, Kwame Evans Jr has, he could be a real force to be reckoned with in 2023 as a freshman. Joining him at Oregon in the 2023 class is four-star point guard Jackson Shelstad. The Ducks are attempting to build an even better program. While the future of the PAC-12 is uncertain right now, Oregon is looking forward to the coming years on the court. Head Coach Dana Altman is ready to prove that he has what it takes to win a title.
