The New York Knicks picked up a star in the making in Maurice N’Dour. Or at least that’s what the Mavericks hope. In what seemed like a star performance from N’Dour, who averaged 9.6 PPG and 4.8 RPG with the Knicks has officially signed with the Mavs. According to Ian Begley of ESPN:
Maurice NDour has agreed to a deal with Dallas, per league sources. Sources say Mavs offered more guaranteed money than #Knicks.

The main reason the Mavericks got N’Dour, was because the could offer more money. With an empty bench, having N’Dour might not be bad for development. With minutes on the table for him, N’Dour might be the backup forward they’re hoping to see. Charlie Villaneuva isn’t doing the best. The Mavericks are definitely in a little bit of a funk, and they can’t really appeal to any big free agents. So what now? Hopefully Cuban has something in the works.
