King Von’s epic storytelling ability continues to live on in the “Wayne Story” video. As the song illustrates, the video tells the story of a young, Black man surviving the streets of Chicago. Through it all, the late Chicago star is sitting in the background narrating the entire ordeal.
This is the third video from the late Chicago rapper in recent months. Previously, he dropped visuals for “I Am What I Am” with Fivio Foreign and “The Code” with Polo G. He also dropped a pair of videos with Lil’ Durk to end the summer.
Much of the world is still mourning the untimely killing of the rising star. He was killed during an altercation in Atlanta outside of a nightclub on November 6, 2020.
In the days and weeks following his death, Lil’ Durk, 21 Savage and several others have paid homage to the Chicago native. Prior to his death, he released Welcome To O Block with features from Fivio Foreign, Dreezy, Lil’ Durk and others. It’s unclear if a posthumous album will surface in 2021. For the time being, enjoy the “Wayne Story” video below.
