It’s been a while since we received a new project from El Paso vocalist, Khalid. Nevertheless, he’s kept his fans happy over the last year and a half with collaborations and loose tracks. Since releasing his Grammy nominated album, American Teen, the 20 year old sensation has worked with 6lack, Ty Dolla $ign, H.E.R, Billie Eillish, Goldlink, Halsey, Logic and more. Not to mention, he’s toured the world and received quite a few platinum plaques. As Khalid gears up for The Roxy Tour and his yet to be name sophomore album, Khalid has given his fans some new music.
To get the weekend started off right, Khalid grabbed Charlie Handsome to create his new single, “Better”. On the record, Khalid sings, “You say we’re just friends /But I swear when nobody’s around/You keep an arm around your neck/To connect, are you feeling it now?/’Cause I’ma just hide under the nest /Nothing feels better than this.” It’s the first offering from his upcoming project and it sounds like he hasn’t missed a beat since his last solo project.
