BOOM! That’s how H&M and Kenzo captioned the photos of the teaser the brand’s released on Instagram. We’re lucky to get our second serving of sneak peeks inside the upcoming and much anticipated collaboration. The Fall collection was announced a while back in May, causing a excited stir in the fashion community. Our first teaser dropped in July. It featured tons of pinks, and blues, and zebra prints. The second peek definitely doesn’t fall short.
Styled with baby pink zebra prints boots and matching dark blue zebra print leggings, shoppers get a look at new dress to be released in the collection. The dress lives up to what we’re all expecting from the collaboration. There’s several prints like florals, leopard spots, and geometric shapes. Of course, the dress is drenched in color. The smaller details are what make it so statement-making and “iconic,” as the two brands presented it. The dress has protruding ruffles at the shoulder, a dark romantic trend that was all over the Fall/Winter runways. There’s the huge bell sleeves, leaving room from some major layering. Then there’s the shirt-dress silhouette completed with a collar and pleated skirt. This may seem like a handful but since when does H&M and Kenzo NOT serve overflowing handfuls?
Musician Anna of the North models the iconic dress. She follows other artists and influencers that Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim chose to represent the new collaboration. The dress is sure to sell out quick, even with its $200 price tag. I can only imagine what else the collaborators will be showing us as we get closer and closer to the release date. Be prepared to shop the collection when it’s available in 270 of H&M’s stores as well as online on November 3, 2016. You’ll have to be fast if this dress is on your list.
