Just over a week ago, the world was hit hard with the release of his third studio album, DAMN. Set to land atop of the Billboard Top 200, there’s some other good news that comes in just before that. Making it his first no. 1 single as a solo artist, Kendrick Lamar tops the Billbaord Hot 100 with his fiery single, “Humble,” as relayed via Billboard.
Other artists making appearances in this week’s Billboard Top 10 is Future, who earns his first top 5 hit record with “Mask Off.” Lil Uzi Vert also caps off the top 10 with his infectious, “XO TOUR LIif3.”
Amazing all around, Kendrick Lamar’s latest release looks to be one of the most perfectly executed campaigns of the past few years. Slated to kick off his “DAMN. Tour” with Travis Scott & D.R.A.M. in the months ahead, this Summer is already looking like it belongs to Kendrick Lamar and his new set of sounds.
