Upcoming TV drama Underground, from Sony Pictures and Tribune Studios, tracks a group of slaves plotting a dauntless escape from a Georgia plantation and travel 600 miles to freedom. Along the way they are aided by a secret abolitionist couple running a station on the Underground Railroad, while being tracked down by those assigned to bring them back, dead or alive.

The show stars Christopher Meloni, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge (Leverage); and directed by Anthony Hemingway; with Misha Green and Joe Pokaski onboard as head writers.

Underground starts filming April 13th.
