It looks like Justin Bieber wasn’t too serious about fighting Tom Cruise after all. Earlier this week, the Canadian musician made headlines when he playfully tweeted, “I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon.” He even added, “Who is willing put on the fight?” From there, his manager doubled down with a post of his own that co-signed his client and called out the Mission Impossible star. However, it appears that they were just playing around.

During a recent interview with TMZ, the pop star clarified his comments. He told the media outlet, “It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes.” He also mentioned that Tom Cruise would “probably whoop [his] a** in a fight.” Bieber is probably right to back off considering Tom Cruise makes the impossible possible, but that didn’t stop oddsmaker from having a little fun with the mythical bout. Experts at SBD had the odds of the fight happening at 90 to 1.

Bieber and Cruise will never meet in the octagon, but it hasn’t stopped onlookers from having a little fun with the mere thought. With the odds at 90 to 1, there is still a slight chance it could possibly happen.
