
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer teaser from the Destin Daniel Critton Film, Just Mercy. Starring Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson, the film tells the true story of legal icon, Bryant Stevenson.
Stevenson rose to prominence early in his career as a public advocate. After graduating from Harvard, he could have picked a number of lucrative jobs. Instead, he chose to become a public advocate in the state of Alabama. Just Mercy tells the story of how Stevenson helped Walter McMillian proclaim his innocence after he was wrongfully sentenced to death for allegedly killing a teenage girl.
Jordan will play the role of Stevenson and Foxx will play the role of McMillian. Meanwhile, Larson will portray Eva Ansley, a local advocate who supported Stevenson’s work.
The first teaser shows still shots of Foxx, Jordan and Larson in their respective roles. Meanwhile, the words, “This is about all of us,” come across the screen. Check out the teaser above. Tomorrow, Warner Bros. will release the full length trailer.
