Just days after the tragic death of singer-rapper, Jarad “Juice WRLD” Higgins, friends, family and colleagues gathered at the Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God in Christ in Harvey, Ill. to pay their respects. According to reports from TMZ, Higgns’ mother, siblings and grandmother attended the service. In addition, employees of Interscope Records and rappers like Ski Mask the Slump God were in attendance.
The funeral was reportedly an open casket service. Moreover, the service included a special program that included personal photos of the late musician.

Shortly after his death, Higgins’ mother issued a statement regarding her son’s death. She said, “We loved Jarad with all of our hearts and cannot believe our time with him has been cut short.”
She added, “Jarad was a son, brother, grandson, friend and so much more to so many people who wanted more than anything to see him defeat addiction.”
Juice WRLD passed away this past week after suffering a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport. He was 21 years old at the time of his death.
It is unclear if a public service will be held in the future. Our prayers are with the Higgins family at this difficult time.
