Joyner Lucas will not be able to complete the final two stops on his Not Now I’m Busy Tour due to a medical issue. According to the Massachusetts native, he has lost his voice and despite receiving medical attention, he is not able to push through. As a result, he has decided to “put [his] health first” and cancel his upcoming shows in Seattle, Washington and New York, New York.
“Sorry, I’ve had to cancel [the] last [two] shows off this tour [in] Seattle and New York. Everyone will be refunded. I [have] been pushing my voice for the last [four] shows and fighting [through] losing my voice. [Before] the last few shows, my doctor gave me steroid shots in my throat so [I could] perform. Today, my voice is completely gone,” he wrote.
“I am in no condition to finish the last [two] shows, which sucks because they are both sold out. I have to put my health first, but I promise I will be back and will make it up to you. Thank you to all the fans who came to all the shows. This was a [tour] to remember.”
Joyner Lucas has been busy the last three months. Not only has he performed in more than a dozen cities over the last five weeks, but he also released his second album and appeared in Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Moving forward, he’s set to host Joyner Fest in his hometown of Worcester, Massachusetts, but it’s unclear if the event will move forward as previously planned.
