The Toronto Raptors have announced that they have signed former first-round pick and NBA wing Josh Jackson. Last season he spent time with the Detroit Pistons and the Sacramento Kings. Jackson was originally drafted with the 4th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns and he also spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies in his career. The NBA wing has become an NBA journeyman at this point in his career but provides talented depth to the Toronto Raptors.

Last season as a member of the Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings, Josh Jackson averaged 6.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 40 percent and a three-point percentage of 25.4 percent. It seems Jackson will have to earn his way onto the Toronto Raptors roster during the team’s training camp this season. The team has several players on the fringe of the roster and the NBA wing will have to prove he is more valuable than them to the Toronto Raptors.

Josh Jackson is an experienced NBA wing and wants to prove that he still deserves a spot on an NBA roster. The Toronto Raptors have given him a chance to prove that before the 2022-23 NBA season begins. Time will tell how that works out for Jackson.
