The Arizona Wildcats now have three “one and done” players after freshman guard Josh Green announced he was declaring for the 2020 NBA Draft. Head Coach Sean Miller is becoming more recognized as a guy that can get freshmen into favorable draft positions. Green is an Australian native who spent his one year of college with the Wildcats this past season. He is projected to go in the middle of the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. This could mean that Arizona ends up with three first-round selections in this year’s draft.

Green was a solid producer his lone year with the Wildcats averaging 12 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. The guard paired that with a field goal percentage of 42.4 percent and a three-point percentage of 36.1 percent. Green is the ideal height and weight to play shooting guard in the NBA; listed at 6’6″ and 210 pounds. Sean Miller will have to replace his three most productive players heading into next season.
“Josh’s athleticism and determination separate him from his competition, giving him an incredibly high ceiling as an NBA player.”

Green has starting NBA shooting guard potential. Teams always like to have wings like him on their rosters. He has the kind of talent you see NBA teams reach for in the Draft. His talent combined with his young age could see him being selected in the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery. The likely lack of an NBA Combine this year won’t do him any favors in improving his draft potential.
