To say that things haven’t gone Johnny Depp’s way in 2018 would be an understatement. At the beginning of the year, news broke that Depp was involved with a messy legal battles with his former lawyers, business managers and bodyguards. Not to mention, we reported earlier this summer that Depp was being sued by a City of Lies location manager for assault. Most recently, Depp received renewed criticism at San Diego Comic Con because of previously allegations of physical and verbal abuse against his ex-wife, Amber Heard. When many thought things couldn’t get worse for one of the most iconic actors of his generation, they have gotten just a tad bit worse.
A month away from its scheduled released, the Johnny Depp led theatrical about an LAPD detective investigating the unsolved murder of Notorious B.I.G has been pulled. Scheduled to be released September 7th, distributors have pulled the film and have not posted a new date for the film. Both the distributor and Depp have yet to comment on the matter publicly.
