Grammy-award winner John Legend is adding another section to his lengthy resume. According to a report from Shanique Yates of Afro Tech, Legend is working with A-Frame Brands to launch a skincare line. While the brand is still in development, the singer aims to provide quality products to those with darker skin while positively representing them in the world of beauty and cosmetics.
“Of course, I’m in the public eye, and so there’s a bit more of a premium placed on making sure we take care of ourselves and present ourselves well to the public,” Legend said, according to Afro Tech.
“But everybody has skin, and everybody cares about their skin, and everybody cares about presenting themselves well in every situation, whether it’s, you know, family, community, or wherever they are. It’s such an important part of who they are, and how they present themselves to the world and how they feel.”
Legend is not the only public figure to work with A-Frame Brands to create their own line of products. Tennis champion Naomi Osaka previously worked with the company to launch her own sun-care brand. Meanwhile, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are currently working to debut their own baby-care brand.
