The Hawks are apparently considering a massive personnel overhaul; they’ve reportedly fired General Manager Wes Wilcox, and President and Head Coach Mike Budenholzer may relinquish his presidency and focus solely on coaching. According to ESPN’s (for now) Marc Stein, the Hawks have identified two front-runners to fill these front-office holes:
League sources say Joe Dumars and David Griffin are expected to emerge as candidates in the Hawks' search for a new pk-callout front-office voice

Dumars, of course, played alongside Hawks minority owner Grant Hill in Detroit; Griffin was a Suns executive when Hill arrived in Phoenix

Griffin currently serves as GM of the Cleveland Cavaliers; him leaving would be a major surprise, especially since LeBron James is reportedly eager for the Cavaliers to extend Griffin’s contract.
Griffin joined the Cavs in 2010 and has served as GM since 2014.
Dumars served a 14-year tenure as President of the Detroit Pistons, ending in 2014. Dumars won Executive of the Year in 2003 and helped build the Detroit team that won the 2004 NBA championship. Currently, Dumars serves as an advisor to the Pistons’ management.
