The year may not be over just yet, but fans of J.I.D and Smino are already looking forward to 2023. The St. Louis native and Dreamville recording artist have rolled out dates for their forthcoming “Luv Is 4Ever” tour. The talented duo will kick things off in Seattle on January 22 before stopping in Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and several other major cities. Ultimately, their run will come to a close on March 29 in Nashville.
“Wow,” Ali of TDE commented on the tour’s announcement post.
“Let’s go,” Sascha Stone Guttfreund of ScoreMore Shows added.
Smino and J.I.D’s tour comes just a few months after the Dreamville signee dropped his latest studio LP, The Forever Story. Including contributions from Ari Lennox, Lil’ Wayne, Lil’ Durk and several others, the 15-track project offered an in-depth look at the Atlanta native’s family and earned him critical acclaim from fans and journalists alike.
“Forever Story is honestly my album of the year. JID is so damn good,” one fan tweeted.
“JID raps like a Harlem Globetrotter on The Forever Story; the skills are there, it’s littered with flashy displays of technique and it sounds better than fine most of the time,” David Aaron Brake of HipHopDX added.
As for fans of Smino, it may take a bit longer to get to his album, but Love For Rent is set to arrive on October 28. The St. Louis native has been teasing music for some time and recently dropped “90 Proof” with J. Cole. Now, all signs lead toward the album fans have been waiting for.
