Jason Momoa has secured his next role.
On Monday, December 30, 2024, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Jason Momoa would play the role of Lobo in the upcoming film, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Momoa is no stranger to superhero films. He has played the role of Aquaman in six different movies throughout his career, including last year’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Lobo has existed within DC Comics for more than 40 years. The intergalactic bounty hunter from Czarnia is best known for his ability to heal rapidly.
“‘The Last Czarnian’ and ‘The Main Man,’ Lobo is the most badass bounty hunter in the galaxy,” DC describes Lobo.
“He’s the best bounty hunter in the known universe and the last sentient being you’d ever want to get into a bar fight with if you hope to make it out in one piece. He’s the intergalactic alien badass known as Lobo, often called by his nickname ‘The Main Man,’ and if you’re lucky, you’ll never cross his path.”
Momoa will make his debut as Lobo when Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock, hits theaters Friday, June 26, 2026.
