Warner Brothers announced just last year that they would be making a DC Comics streaming service and now its finally coming to fruition. ‘DC Universe’ (derived from the title of comic book world that their beloved characters are from) will be the title of the Warner Brothers and DC Comics streaming service that will supposedly launch in August. Warner Brothers announced that they were developing two different shows to launch with the service. One of them being Young Justice: Outsiders (Season 3 of the hit animated series) & another show which will go into the world of the Teen Titans, titled ‘Titans’.
Along with their two pilot shows, DC also announced that they were developing a Swamp Thing TV Series, a Harley Quinn series & Doom Patrol. In a recent interview on the James Bonding Podcast, DC Entertainment’s community manager David Snow revealed that they were looking at an August release date for the service. Now the service will include TV shows, comic books and even movies from old & new, Snow even called it a ‘Hub for all things DC‘
We’ve already seen some images from the Titans show & Young Justice: Outsiders but mums the word in terms of anything outside of that show. Regardless, August is about 2 months away and with San Diego Comic-Con just halfway in between that, we can expect a bunch of DC related announcements coming soon.
