Jared Dudley seems very optimistic about leaving Milwaukee to join the Washington Wizards, and sounds like he is ready to make an immediate impact. The former Buck will compete for time at small forward with Otto Porter, the likely starter, and Kelly Oubre, the first round draft pick for Washington in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Playing along side John Wall and Bradley Beal excites Dudley as he is going to have an opportunity to mentor and guide them to becoming better players. Throughout their careers, Wall and Beal have always taken a lot of information from veteran teammates, and this trade gives them another opportunity to learn more.
Marcin Gortat also played with Dudley for 3 season in Phoenix, which already gives the new Wizard some fimiliarity with teammates. Dudley will be able to gel with teammates right away, but he already has a friend in Washington which is a good start.
Oubre isn’t quite ready to compete with Porter for starting minutes, so the move by Washington is going to make Otto have to work harder every day to ensure he becomes the starter. Dudley is going to be a great role model and guide for the young small forwards as they aim to strive for greatness.
