JA Happ and the New York Yankees have reportedly agreed to terms of a two-year contract worth $34 million to bring him back to the Bronx. Happ was rumored to have signed with multiple teams, but he expressed interest in going back to the Yankees.
Jon Heyman of FanCred reported the agreement would be for two-years worth $34 million and a vesting option for a third-year.
Yankees and Happ are working to finalize deal. Looks like it might be 2 years plus an option once done.

Happ spent his 2018 season with the Toronto Blue Jays and was then traded to the Yankees at the deadline. His total stats for 2018 featured a 17-6 record with a 3.65 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP, and striking out 193 batters over 177.2 innings pitched. For the Yankees in the regular season, Happ was 7-0 in 11 starts with a 2.69 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP.
With the addition of Happ, the Yankees rotation is slated to feature Happ, Masahiro Tanaka, Luis Severino, newly acquired James Paxton, and CC Sabathia who resigned as well. This is definitely a solid rotation that they can only hope will be enough to supplement their incredible offense to compete with the World Champion Boston Red Sox.
