We’re back! Actually, it’s back! In 2017, the It franchise returned from its 1990’s success for a modern day remake. Complete with performances from Bill Skarsgard and Sophia Lillis, the film shot out of the gate to immediate success. Created with a budget of just over $35 million, the film brought in a whopping $700 million. Given the success of the first film, it makes sense that Warner Bros. Pictures would look to bring back the movie for a sequel. Two years later, Warner Bros. Pictures has delivered the first teaser for the upcoming film, It Chapter Two.
As described, “Evil resurfaces in Derry as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club—young and adult—in a return to where it all began with It Chapter Two.” Warner Bros. adds, “Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, It Chapter Two brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.” The second chapter of the It resurgence will bring in Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone and more.
