In the midst of summer movie and television releases, HBO’s Insecure is a gearing up to give viewers a follow-up to an emotional end to season two. Leaving viewers with more questions than answers in the season two finale, the anticipation for season three has been building steadily over the past six months. Recently, Issa, Molly and company took time to announce that the HBO series will return to the small screen this August.
This week, Issa followed up the announcement for season three with the first official teaser for the new season. In classic Insecure style, Issa is shown rapping in front of the mirror and doing her thing before fans get a bit of surprise when someone knocks on the door to the bathroom. Issa raps, “Hey, mirror b*tch/You’re looking real clean/You’re looking real bad/You’re looking like a queen/It’s been a long/Shouldn’t have left you.” In the middle of rapping her next bar, Issa is interrupted by a man knocking on the bathroom door. Is it Lawrence? Is it Eddie? Is it her brother? Who knows? I guess you’ll have to watch the teaser to find out.
