Richardson, who was selected 40th overall in the 2015 NBA draft, had a superb rookie season for the Heat. His astounding mark of 46.1% from three-point range was a pleasant surprise for Miami.
If Richardson misses significant time, the Heat will still have solid depth at the shooting guard position — even without Dwyane Wade. They’ll still have Tyler Johnson and Dion Waiters.
UPDATE (9/10/16): Josh Richardson says he will be sidelined an estimated six to eight weeks due to his injury sustained at practice on Friday. Richardson made an appearance in Fort Lauderdale Saturday morning, and was seen walking with crutches and a brace on his leg.
