If you’re a fan of the DC Comic Novel ‘Watchmen’ then you will need no explanation, please proceed to watch the trailer below. For those that are new to the ‘Watchmen’ storyline, this trailer may be a little confusing.
Written by the great Alan Moore, ‘Watchmen’ is in an alternate 1985 America, where costumed superheroes used to be a part of everyday life. Now, they’re outlawed but in this new trailer from HBO it looks like they’re making a big comeback.
This version of the superhero cast is set to be very different from the 2006 film by Zach Snyder. It will star the likes of Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Jean Smart and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
The Watchmen is set to be the first superhero show to ever be produced by the award-winning television Network that has brought us the likes of Game of Thrones, Sopranos and The Wire. So the hype is extremely real.
Regardless, the series should be debuting later on this year on the HBO streaming service.
