Pittsburgh rapper, Hardo, is back with a new record called “Smile”. The Stevie-B produced record features the Pennsylvania native discussing the ups and downs of chasing your dreams and the loyalty of a significant other. On the record, Hardo raps, “Baby, are you going to hold me down? Are you call?”
When explaining the motivation behind the song, Hardo said, “‘Smile is about realizing that I don’t need to be out all night trying to get to a dollar while having a girl at home feeling lonely because she thinks I’m out with other women. I want to let the woman I’m interested in know I’ll be there for her and that she is free to live her life and be happy. If she is still there when I get to where I want to be, sh*t will work out.”
Hardo is riding the wave of a number successful projects and singles over the past few years. After being released from prison in 2012, Hardo released his first single, “Stressin”. In the months and years that followed, the Pittsburgh rapped moved on to work with the likes of Tee Grizzley, Wiz Khalifa, 21 Savage, Dave East and Meek Mill. Hardo is currently working on his next EP, The Fame or Feds Story, which is set to be released this June. For now, check out, “Smile”.
