Many often lament the start of the year because it is often a dead period for music releases. Fortunately, this year didn’t follow that trend. During the first week of the new year, The Weeknd and Gunna delivered new project. The Weeknd’s Dawn FM included contributions from Jim Carrey, Quincy Jones and Lil’ Wayne. Meanwhile, Gunna’s DS4EVER featured Chlöe Bailey, 21 Savage and several other stars. However, it was missing one key feature – Drake.
Prior to the release of DS4EVER, Gunna delivered a tracklist that included a song called “P*ssy Power” that was supposed to feature Drake. Unfortunately, it was released without the Toronto native’s contributions. Days later, the song found its way onto Soundcloud. Boom! This Friday, Gunna and company have decided to release the deluxe version of DS4EVER with the aforementioned track. Much like the leaked version, Drake and Gunna trade verses over the soul-infused sample.
“I’m comin’, my baby, forget a crocodile Birkin, my baby/Show you a link, now you workin’, my baby/You f*ck on me, it feel personal, baby/Trust me, it’s comin’ full circle, my baby/The dash in the Benz is virtual, baby,” Drake raps.
