Gucci Mane and luxury fashion brand Gucci are finally teaming up on a collaborative collection.
The rapper who now posts Instagram looks that are dapper guy style goals has not always been this fly. Before Gucci Mane decided to transform his life while in prison the Atlanta bred rapper sported an iced out Bart Simpson chain and oversized polos. Now Gucci Mane and wife Keyshia Ka’oir are on high fashion radars.
“It took me going to prison to be able to sit down, write, and reflect on my life. I always knew that I was an amazing person, and I’m saying this as humbly as I can, but a lot of artists are super talented, but they’re not fascinating” Gucci Mane tells Vulture in 2017.
Now in 2019, Italian designer brand Gucci, where Guwop adapts his stage name has finally given him the spotlight. The Gucci Cruise 2020 campaign stars Gucci Mane alongside Sienna Miller and Iggy Pop.
The campaign, #ComeAsYouAre_RSVP, was shot by Harmony Korine and, creative directed by the fashion label’s Alessandro Michele. An image from the shoot will serve as Gucci Mane’s album cover for his forthcoming project WOPTOBER II.
