The San Antonio Spurs have made one of the biggest impacts in the off-season by making acquisitions to make a run at yet another NBA championship.
It all started with re-signing their own guys Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, and Matt Bonner but the pitch Gregg Popovich made to Danny Green may have been the best pitch we’ve ever heard.
Danny Green, on Pop's FA pitch to him: “He said, 'I promise I’ll be nicer this time.' I probably don’t believe him."

Popovich is showing his comedic side as he’s proven to do with his halftime interviews with sideline reporters and his answers to the media post-game usually draw a few laughs.
Popovich’s pitch to Danny Green “I’ll be nicer” is another quote we have to add to Popovich’s memoir.
He must’ve been talking about this little incident last season.
With the Spurs getting older and the signing of LaMarcus Aldridge I have no doubt in my mind Popovich’s pitch to Green is false which is obvious, but it must have worked if Green decided to re-sign with the team.
After this excellent off-season for the Spurs, Coach Popovich should be under consideration for master negotiator for the San Antonio Spurs.
