Goran Dragic made his intentions clear after being traded to the Toronto Raptors. He did not want to participate in a rebuild with a younger roster. The Raptors traded him and draft compensation for Thaddeus Young. A buyout was expected to follow shortly after ad now the two sides have come to an agreement. The free-agent market for the veteran point guard is expected to be fairly competitive.
In the aftermath of the Donte DiVincenzo trade and Connaughton injury, the Bucks will be aggressive in pursuit of Goran Dragic once he enters the buyout market next week, sources said. There will be significant opportunity for Dragic to play a role on the defending champions.

In just five games with the Raptors, the veteran point guard averaged eight points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He shot 38.2 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from the three-point line. Goran Dragic was just a part of an NBA Finals matchup with the Miami Heat in 2020 and the hope is he can still help a team seriously compete in the NBA Playoffs.
