No other team in the NBA will be under a microscope like the Golden State Warriors next season. Fresh off a 73-win season and an all-time collapse in the Finals, the Warriors have reloaded.
The Warriors added a top-three player in Kevin Durant to their already loaded roster. Though they lost some depth in Harrison Barnes and Andrew Bogut, they mitigated that loss with the addition of David West and Zaza Pachulia. And of course, they still have Stephen Curry.
Golden State is absolutely the biggest storyline next season. They could aim to surpass their NBA-record 73 wins from last year. They could sweep through the playoffs. Or they could become the most disappointing Super Team of all time.
Clearly, the Dubs will be must-see TV. The storylines surrounding them in addition to their pace of play makes them an entertaining follow. The NBA has taken notice, scheduling them for 28 national television appearances. They will also play on Christmas Day against the Cleveland Cavaliers and match up with the Cavs again on Martin Luther King Jr day. Also, they have a trio of matchups against the Oklahoma City Thunder which is certainly expected to be must watch.
