In what has been an eventful offseason around the NBA, the weaker Eastern Conference became even thinner. We saw multiple stars head West such as Jimmy Butler, Paul George, and Paul Millsap, leaving the East wide open. While the Cleveland Cavaliers remain intact for now and are expected to once again sit atop the rankings, there are plenty of teams that could make the postseason interesting, one of them being the Milwaukee Bucks.
Their position-less star Giannis Antetokounmpo has made great strides year in and year out and even took home the Most Improved Player award last year. He continues to be an unstoppable force and at only 22 years old, the sky is the limit and Antetokounmpo is not one to put a limit on his abilities.
In a recent interview with Bucks’ broadcaster Jim Paschke, Antetokounmpo touched on his teammate Malcolm Brogdon winning Rookie of The Year and discussed his MVP chances for the upcoming season, saying he ‘might’ just win the award:

If the Bucks are able to become one of the top tier teams in their conference, there is no doubt Giannis Antetokounmpo could have an intriguing case for MVP. The team made the postseason last year with a 42-40 record but were ousted in the first round.
Milwaukee will surely have to improve substantially for Giannis to have a chance at taking home the MVP but with a depleted conference and another year of experience under his belt, he shouldn’t be counted out.
Milwaukee has had a relatively quiet offseason but if their young pieces like Giannis, Brogdon, and even Thon Maker are able to develop further, look for the Bucks to make some noise next season and for the Greek Freak to be a darkhorse MVP candidate.
