Few fights capture the imagination of the general public quite like the upcoming showdown featuring Ryan Garcia and Gervonta “Tank” Davis. Both fighters carry perfect records and the heavy expectations of large fan bases into the ring during each fight. However, one fighter’s perfect record will endure its first blemish on April 22, 2023. According to Davis, Garcia will be the fighter to walk away with a bruised ego.
“[It will end in] seven or right rounds. [I’m going to] figure him out a little bit and then…I’m not going to lie. I’m going to get to the point on this fight. I’m getting straight to the point. [I] just want to show him [that] he ain’t that person,” Davis said after an open media workout this week.
“He [said] all [of] this stuff [in an] interview. [He was] saying [that] he ain’t leaving the ring unless [he took] something. Like, alright, take this a** whooping.”
Ryan Garcia has been equally confident leading up to the fight. Recently, the California native appeared on First Take to promote the fight.
“I’m predicting a knockout. That’s what I would say. I will knock out Gervonta Davis.”
At the end of the night, only one man can be right. Garcia and Davis will fight for bragging rights on April 22 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
