What started out as a freestyle on a local radio station has turned into an internet sensation. After freestyling over the classic Three Six Mafia beat on K104 in Dallas, Texas in late March, Drake encouraged G Herbo to turn his work into a solid record. The Chicago emcee took the “Nice For What” rapper’s advice and not only turned it into a solo record, but he also released a video to go alongside the freestyle. In addition to the success of the music, a meme of Bay Bay bopping alongside G Herbo as he did the original freestyle went viral. Today, G Herbo took the freestyle to heights he probably never expected with a remix to what was originally a radio freestyle. The remake of the classic Three Six Mafia record now features its own original artwork and a hard verse from Lil’ Uzi Vert.

On the remix, G Herbo goes as hard as he did on the original, but the star of the show is clearly Philly’s own Lil’ Uzi Vert. After being dissed by Rich The Kid on wax last month, Lil’ Uzi Vert took some direct shots at the Atlanta based artists. Lil’ Uzi Vert gets in his bag rapping, “Rich, mad ’cause your b*tch ate my kids or somethin’/Man, I could fuck your wife like you sharin’ or somethin’/Galore ass mansion with lira or somethin’/N*gga tried to get my ho, tried to f*ck my b*tch/You think I’ma miss that?” Later in the verse, Lil’ Uzi Vert took more shots at Rich The Kid and he came after media personality, DJ Akademiks. Lil Uzi Vert raps, “Boy you trippin’, SI diamonds on your neck/Mean you better give your wrist back/Me no broke, Akademiks, yeah, that’s where you get your news at/Ask your bros, Grammy-nominated songs just to prove that/Know your bros told you, nah, you better not just do that, uh
I’m going mode, T.Y., tell me when to go, boy, you ain’t rich, you a b*tch.”
In a rap landscape that is extremely competitive, this doesn’t seem like a beef that will end anytime soon. In the meantime, check out the remix to G Herbo’s “Who Run It”.
