This Thursday, the reboot of the legendary Superfly film will hit theaters. Under the direction of Director X, the film will feature Trevor Jackson as the lead and will keep to the script of the old film with a bit of a twist at the end. In preparation for the film, Future released a music video for the lead single off of the soundtrack, “No Shame“. The video was minimalist in style, but gave fans glimpses of scenes from the film. Yesterday, Khalid and H.E.R followed up Future’s video by releasing the second single off of the film’s soundtrack, “This Way”.
Today, Future unveiled the entire soundtrack for Superfly. The Atlanta based creative, who had a hand in producing the film and curating the soundtrack, is featured on eleven of the soundtrack’s thirteen songs. Alongside Future, Khalid, H.E.R, 21 Savage, Lil’ Wayne, Gunna, Scar, Miguel and PARTYNEXTDOOR all had a hand in the film’s sound. Standout tracks on the movies soundtrack include “What’s Up With That” featuring 21 Savage, “R.A.N”, “Tie My Shoes” featuring Young Thug and “Drive Itself” featuring Lil’ Wayne.
