Hip-Hop has always taught us over the years to expect the unexpected. Still delivering on that notion, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have come together for not only a new record, “1985,” but an entire project.
That’s right, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have put their powers together for their upcoming joint-project, Alfredo. No strangers to working together, Alfredo comes as fans have anticipated another album since 2018’s Fetti installment. Surprisingly making that happen, we get our first taste of what to expect with “1985.”
With both gentlemen deep in their bags, “1985” sets the tone and bar high for what their new album will bring about. Arriving almost a year after Freddie’s Bandana LP and not long after The Alchemist’s appearances on albums from Jay Electronica, Westside Gunn, and others, we’re more than happy to have this.
