To be honest, it’s hard to think of anyone, including Kanye West, that benefitted more from the Donda rollout than Fivio Foreign. Not only was he featured on the album, but he also delivered one of the project’s standout verses. Adding on, Kanye West agreed to executive produce his next project. Heading into the fall, the New York native can say something that few others can. He’s been on a Nas album, Kanye West album and a Drake album.
Capitalizing off of the momentum he’s created in recent weeks, Fivio Foreign is back with a new track of his own called “Story Time.” Backed by cinematic production, the New York steps up his storytelling ability while delivering the energy that is customary on a Fivio Foreign track.
“Let me tell a little sad story about this young boy, grew up, no pops in the crib/That n*gga momma workin’ so she couldn’t really show him no love when he was a kid/He didn’t even mean to do that incident/He was only eighteen when he got caught that bid,” he opens the song.
Sadly, it would be wrong to give away how the story ends. Check out the video below to see how Fivio Foreign takes an all too common story and puts his own twist on it.
