The Atlanta Falcons have signed linebacker Bud Dupree to a one-year deal.
Bud Dupree has played in 103 games across eight seasons for the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers. After being drafted 22nd overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the former Kentucky Wildcat suited up in 81 games for Mike Tomlin. Along the way, he picked up 231 tackles, 39.5 sacks and one interception. In 2021, Dupree left the Steelers to sign a five-year, $82.5 million contract with the Titans. In two seasons with the Titans, Dupree started in 17 games while contributing seven sacks, 35 tackles and 17 quarterback hits. In March, Tennessee made the decision to release Dupree and save nearly $10 million in cap space.
Bud Dupree is the latest addition to the Atlanta Falcons. During the offseason, the Falcons have picked up Jeff Okudah, Kaden Elliss, Jessie Bates III, Calais Campbell and David Onyemata. The new group of defenders will help Atlanta improve after finishing 24th among 32 teams last season. The Falcons also finished last in the NFC South with a record 7-10.
