Fabolous shares the tracklist for his anticipated project Summertime Shootout 3 including a handful of notable features.
The Brooklyn rapper readies the third installment to his Summertime Shootout series after dropping the second edition back in 2016. Fans have waited a long three years for Fabolous to mark the end of the trilogy. From the given information, Summertime Shootout 3 appears to align with the predecessors: a feature heavy mix-tape with a range of sounds and songs.
Fabolous announced Summertime Shootout 3 way back in August 2017. While never clearly stating a concrete reason for delay, Fabolous does share in an interview with Music Choice that Summertime Shootout 3 was initially due in the summer.
“It’s the first time I’m dropping one in the summer; I usually do them in the winter. A lot of people used to always ask why it was called Summertime Shootout when they dropped in the winter. Cause it wasn’t really, like, to the word “summertime” it was really more about the feeling of summertime being good and bad for some people. In one of the previous projects, we talked about reminiscing on summer and one of Dave East’s first lines was that his cousin died in the summer. Everybody remembers summer for different things or certain summers for different things.” says Fabolous.
Now, in late fall, the rapper holds true to a release date. Dropping November 29 2019, and standing at 16 tracks, Summertime Shootout 3 features the following artists: Meek Mill, Lil Durk, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Tory Lanez, YFN Lucci, Jacquees, Jeremih, Davido, Ty Dolla $ign, PnB Rock, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Josh K, Roddy Ricch, Chris Brown and, Teyana Taylor.
