
Actress Estelle Harris has passed away at the age of 93 years old. Harris’ agent, Michael Eisenstadt, confirmed the news on Saturday evening.
Harris was born on April 22, 1928 in New York, New York. As a young child, her family moved to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania suburb of Tarentum, Pennsylvania. There, she began developing her comedic talents as a star in several high school productions. However, she didn’t begin her career in acting until much later in life.
Harris married her husband, Sy, in 1953 and gave birth to three children. After raising her three children, she dived into her full-time acting career. Early on, she appeared in several commercials before landing a role in the film, Looking Up, at 49 years old. Over time, she was able to parlay her roles in films like Looking Up into appearances in Stand and Deliver with Edward James Olmos and Once Upon A Time In America with Robert De Niro. Ultimately, her talents were highlighted in classic projects like Toy Story II and Star Trek. She delivered her most memorable performances in the early 1990s as Estelle Costanza.

Harris leaves behind three children and millions of fans around the world.
