Being signed to a label led by another successful artist can oftentimes come with unfair expectations. With that said, many of the artists signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records have either met those expectations or surpassed them. In the past, 1017 Records affiliated acts like Young Thug, Migos and Chief Keef have gone on to headline festivals and top the charts. More recently, Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano have taken the 1017 Records flag and run with it. However, they are not the only ones at the label that are about to take 1017 Records to new heights. Coming out of Forth Worth, Texas, Enchanting is making noise as she comes for the top spot.
This week, Enchanting linked up with Kali for their new single, “Track and Field.” As always, Enchanting’s voice unique voice cuts through the song’s production and sets the tone.
“Me and my Glock one and the same, ’cause we both got extensions/And don’t you try give me your heart, ’cause I got bad intentions/I’m really a good girl at heart, I just make bad decisions/And I get way too much money to fuck on an average n*gga,” she raps.
As the track comes to a close, Kali jumps in as well with a double-time flow that takes the song to a new level.
“He know not to play, that shit gon’ cost him/You know them racks in/At the strip club throwin’ the backend/Your n*gga say I’m fine, he just wanna beat my back in/Lam’ truck when I back in/I been that since back then,” she adds.
“Track & Field” is one of the many tracks you need to check out this week. Listen below.
