The University of Alabama Crimson Tide has landed commitments from a few more coveted recruits, including wide receiver Cederian Morgan and safety Jireh Edwards.
Morgan is a top 50 recruit and the third-ranked player in the state of Alabama, according to ESPN. He chose to join the Crimson Tide after reportedly receiving offers from Colorado, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn.
Edwards, who elected to attend Alabama instead of Auburn and Georgia, is a 6’2, 210-pound product of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. According to ESPN, he’s the program’s highest-ranked signee thus far.
With that said, the Crimson Tide are still looking to sign Derrek Cooper, who is the seventh overall recruit in the class of 2026. Cooper is currently undecided, but he did take an official visit to Tuscaloosa in June. Furthermore, Edwards shared a photo of himself standing alongside Cooper with a caption that reads, “[You know] who I’m bringing with me.”
Edwards and Morgan join a class that currently includes eight other ESPN 300 prospects. Prior to Edwards and Morgan, ESPN ranked Alabama’s group of recruits ninth overall, but recent additions could give Tuscaloosa a boost.
Edwards, Morgan, and company will likely make their debut in the crimson and white on September 4, 2025, against the West Virginia Mountaineers before heading to Columbus for a battle at Ohio Stadium.
