From performing at Jazz In The Garden to scheduling a tour, DuPont Brass has a lot going on. Still, they’re taking the time to build their catalog and feed their fan base. Closing out the summer, the nine-piece ensemble has connected with Cheakaity to craft an ode to all the beautiful women who bless the world with their presence. It’s appropriately titled, “Treat.”
“‘Treat’ represents the musical growth of DuPont Brass. While most of our previous records were produced by one member of the group, this upcoming album features production by four members, including ‘Treat’ which is produced by our keyboardist Jeauxsmeaux,” the eclectic soul ensemble told Medium Creative Agency.
“We reached out to Cheakaity to contribute some vocals because we really love what he’s doing in the DMV music scene.”
The release of “Treat” sets the stage for the upcoming “Summer Vibes Tour” from the DMV collective. Beginning August 11, DuPont Brass will perform at Laurel Park in Laurel, Maryland before making stops in Chicago, Milwaukee, Sioux Falls, Silver Spring, Lewisburg and Washington, D.C. The tour is scheduled to conclude on September 9 in Arlington, Virginia at the 2023 Rosslyn Jazz Fest.
