The Arizona Cardinals just can’t seem to catch a break this season. First they lose star David Johnson in week one with a dislocated wrist, then starting QB Carson Palmer goes down for the season with a broken arm, and now backup QB Drew Stanton has suffered a knee injury. Stanton sprained his knee in the Cardinals Thursday night loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Stanton is day to day on if he will miss any time but could potentially miss two weeks. If Stanton can’t go then his backup is Blaine Gabbert.
Cardinals QB Drew Stanton sprained his knee during Thursday night’s loss vs Seattle and could miss a game or two, per @mortreport. If Stanton is out, Blaine Gabbert would start.

Coming off the Thursday night game it bodes well for the Cardinals that they will have extra time to rest before their next game. They play the Houston Texans next on 11/19.
At 4-5 the Cardinals aren’t exactly eliminated from the playoff picture but, with an aging Palmer and below average Stanton as the best QBs on the roster it may be best for the team to go after one of the top QB prospects in this years draft. I’m not saying the tank is on, just that it could be.
