It was another day at the office for Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors, except this shift at home wasn’t like many in the past. Green was without two members of the Dubs high octane squad with Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala both missing the game due to injury.
The 2015 NBA Finals MVP, Andre Iguodala, was out due to a tight hamstring and the 2014-15 NBA regular season MVP, Stephen Curry, was out after injuring his ankle during his spectacular performance in the instant classic that took place in Oklahoma City over the weekend.
The Hawks came to town looking to capitalize on a depleted Dubs squad but behind a 26 point night from Klay Thompson, a night point effort from Andrew Bogut and a fantastic, near triple-double output from Draymond Green, the Warriors crushed the Hawks hopes in overtime. A big Draymond Green three all but sealed the win for the Warriors.
Green scored 15 points on the night in 42 minutes of action while he also grabbed 13 rebounds, handed out nine assists and he also had nine steals.
The Warriors go to 54-5 one the regular season and 25-0 at home with their next contest on Thursday night. It’s a highly anticipated home matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
